Day 2

London   We are met by our European Institute Tour Director and accompanied to our centrally located hotel, before we begin exploring this incredible city.

London   Our local guide introduces magnificent London. We finish with the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.

London   Today we may opt to visit the ancient edifice of Stonehenge. Our sightseeing of Bath includes a visit to the ancient Roman Baths and sumptuous Pump Rooms.

Paris   This morning we board the Eurostar for France. This afternoon our local guide introduces us to her Paris.

This evening we take you to top of the Eiffel Tower for a 'bird's eye view' of the city!

Paris   A memorable visit to Versailles, including Marie Antoinette's Petit Hameau.

This afternoon a visit is included to the Louvre Museum. This evening a romantic Seine river cruise is included.

Paris   Explore Paris further or join our excursion to visit the home of impressionism, Monet's Giverny (for trips prior to April 1st the Musee d'Orsay will be substituted).

Lucerne  Board your TGV to Switzerland. En route to Lucerne, we stop to visit the capital, Berne.

Lucerne  Sightseeing of old Lucerne includes the Lion Monument, the mural-decorated wooden bridge and Weinmarkt Square.

This afternoon opt to join our excursion to Mount Pilatus for breathtaking views across the Alps.

Florence Area  En route to Florence we stop to visit the famous leaning tower at Pisa.

Florence Area   Our morning sightseeing of Florence shows us Michelangelo's "David", the Duomo, the Piazza della Signoria, and the Church of Santa Croce.

Rome   Today we make our way through Umbria to Assisi. Here we visit the Basilica and see the stunning Giotto frescoes that illustrate the life of St. Francis.

Rome   Our local guide proudly shows us the Colosseum, the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Museum, and St Peter's- mother church of the Catholic faith.

Venice   Today we journey northwards to the magical city of Venice.

Venice   Enjoy a cruise this morning to St. Mark's Square for a guided walking tour of this beautiful city.

Innsbruck   Our journey takes us north to the fairytale chalets of Innsbruck where our tour includes the historical Old Town and the Imperial Palace.

Munich   Our walking tour of Salzburg includes Mozart's birthplace and St. Peter's Cathedral.

Munich   Sightseeing with our local guide introduces us to Munich. This afternoon we visit moving Dachau.

Heidelberg   This morning, we head for picturesque Heidelberg where we enjoy panoramic views over the old city and the surrounding mountains.
