Day 1 |
Departure from the USA bound for Mexico! Welcome to Mexico! We are met by our European Institute Tour Director and taken to our centrally located hotel before we begin exploring.

Day 2 |
Mexico City Sightseeing: Our Tour Director shows us the sights of this vibrant city: the dramatic murals of Diego Riviera at the National Palace, Cathedral Metropolitana, and the entertainment district of Zona Rosa.
We also take time to take a boat ride through the floating gardens of Xochimilco and see remnants of the Aztec agricultural system.
This afternoon we visit
the National Museum of Anthropology. |

| Day 3 |
Mexico City Our day of exploration begins with a visit to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of Mexico's most famous pilgrimage sites.
We continue to the ancient city of Teotihuacan. We see the impressive Pyramid of the Sun, built in 100 AD, and the Pyramid of the Moon.
We return to Mexico
City where the afternoon is spent at leisure. |

| Day 4 |
Merida This morning we board our flight that takes us to the Yucatan.
Firstly we visit Uxmal in the middle of the jungle where we see remains of an ancient archaeological site.
We then travel to
Merida where we see the Palacio Municipal
and the Palacio de Gobierno. |

| Day 5 |
Chichen Itza Today we travel to
Chichen Itza, one of the Yucatan
Peninsula's best restored Mayan sites. The
wonders surrounding the Mayan's astronomical calendar
are explained when we see EI Castillo, an actual
Mayan calendar in stone. We also see the Temple of
the Warriors, the Sacred Cenote and
the Ball Game Coliseum, the largest in Mexico.
This afternoon we continue on to Cancun. |

| Day 6 |
Cancun Today is spent at leisure enjoying the fine white sandy beaches and warm blue seas of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Enjoy a highlight dinner of local cuisine and song this
evening. |
