Day 1 |
Departure from the USA bound for France! |

Day 2 |
Paris We are met by our European Institute Tour Director and accompanied to our centrally located hotel, before we begin exploring this incredible city.

| Day 3 |
Paris Today our local guide shows us her Paris, Napoleon's grand Arc de Triomphe, the famous Champs Elysées, Place de la Concorde, magnificent Place Vendome and one of Europe's most beautiful cathedrals, Notre Dame.
After lunch, a visit is included to the Louvre Museum, including Da Vinci's masterpiece the Mona Lisa .
This evening a romantic Seine river cruise is included.

| Day 4 |
Paris Today we visit Louis XIV's magnificent Versailles. Our tour takes us through the 250 foot long hall of mirrors and the royal apartments to the gardens and Marie Antoinette's Petit Hameau.
This evening we take you to top of the Eiffel Tower for a 'bird's eye view' of the city!

| Day 5 |
Lucerne Enjoy the smooth ride on France's high speed train, the TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse), through the countryside to the stunning Swiss Alps. On the way to the beautifully situated town of Lucerne we will visit the capital of Switzerland, Bern, dramatically set on the steep banks of the Aare River.

| Day 6 |
Lucerne Sightseeing of Lucerne includes the moving Swiss Lion Monument, the mural-decorated wooden bridge, and the Old Town.
Later, perhaps take an optional cablecar ride up the 7000' Mt Pilatus. |

| Day 7 |
Munich Today we journey through the breathtaking mountain scenery to visit mad King Ludwig's magnificent castle of Neuschwanstein (inspiration for the Disney castle). Continue to the capital of Bavaria, Munich.

| Day 8 |
Munich Sightseeing with our local guide includes views the Olympic Stadium, Frauenkirche and the famous Glockenspiel in the Marienplatz town hall square.
This afternoon we visit moving Dachau.

| Day 9 |
Heidelberg Area This morning, we travel north to medieval Rothenburg, a well-preserved town complete with ramparts and towers, 16th-century houses and cobbled lanes. Your visit also includes the castle which dominates the town. Continue through the Black Forest to impressive Heidelberg Castle.
