Departure from the USA bound for
Germany! |

Day 2 |
Berlin
We are
met by our European Institute Tour Director and
accompanied to our centrally located hotel, before we
begin exploring Berlin.

Day 3 |
Berlin
Our local guide introduces us to this formerly divided
city. Our tour includes views of the Brandenburg Gate,
the State Opera House, the old Berlin Wall
and the Reichstag Building (restored after
destruction by the tragic fire of 1933).
Then, a special visit to the Pergamon Museum,
which houses one of Europe's most precious art
collections.

Day 4 |
Berlin
Today you can choose to explore Berlin further or
join our excursion to Frederick the Great's Sans
Souci at Potsdam.
This evening perhaps enjoy a Kaffee mit Kuchen on
the Ku'damm.

Day 5 |
Prague
Today we travel to the capital of the Czech
Republic, Prague. This evening we can enjoy a
Walking Tour of Baroque Prague.
|
|
Day 6 |
Prague During our panoramic tour we will see the
majestic Charles Bridge, St. Vitus Cathedral
and the famous alchemists' Golden Lane. Our tour
finishes with a visit to Hradcany Castle.
This afternoon perhaps visit the atmospheric Jewish
cemetery that inspired Franz Kafka.

Day 7 |
Vienna
Today, we travel through delightful countryside to
Vienna, once the seat of the greatest imperial
dynasty in Europe, the Habsburg Empire.
Perhaps enjoy a traditional Viennese evening of
Strauss and Mozart this evening?

Day 8 |
Vienna
Our morning
sightseeing tour with local guide features the
Hofburg Imperial Palace and the State Opera,
the Ring, and St. Stephen's Cathedral.
Also included this morning is a visit to Schonbrunn
Palace.
This afternoon we should
make time for some of Vienna's celebrated coffee and
sachertorte! Perhaps enjoy a visit up the famed
Riesenrad - the grand Ferris Wheel from the film The
Third Man.
