Day 1  

Departure from the USA bound for Ireland!

Day 2

Killarney   You are met by your European Institute Tour Director and transfer to the West of Ireland.

 

Day 3

Killarney   Our drive around the famous "Ring of Kerry" is one of the most scenic in all of Europe and introduces you to quintessential Ireland.

 

Day 4

Dublin   We journey today along the beautiful coastline of southern Ireland through Dungarvan and Youghal to Cork. Nearby, we visit Blarney Castle, where you will have a chance to kiss the famous Stone to gain the gift of the gab!

 

Day 5

Dublin   Our guided sightseeing tour in Eire's capital includes historic Phoenix Park, Saint Patrick's Cathedral and an included visit to see the Book of Kells at Trinity College.

 

Day 6

Chester   Our day takes us across the Irish Sea by ferry to North Wales and Caernavon Castle, where the Prince of Wales is traditionally crowned, before continuing to medieval Chester.

 

Day 7

Edinburgh   After a stroll in the quaint Rows of Chester we journey to the Lake District, a vast area of mountain woodland and calm lakes.

 

After taking in the scenery and visiting Wordsworth's Dove Cottage, we travel to the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh.

 

Day 8

Edinburgh   This morning our local guide leads us along bustling Princes Street, the Royal Mile and for a visit to the imposing Edinburgh Castle.

 

This afternoon is free to explore the cobbled streets of this great city.

 

Day 9

York   Our drive south takes us through the rugged landscape of Northern England to Hadrian's Wall and then on to the medieval walled city of York.

 

Here we visit the towering cathedral, York Minster, and the surrounding maze of narrow streets in the famous Shambles.

 

Day 10

Stratford Area   Morning drive to medieval Warwick Castle. Next, we move on to Shakespeare's Stratford where we see Anne Hathaway's Cottage and Shakespeare's Birthplace.

 

Day 11

London   On our return to London, we first stop amongst the dreaming spires of Oxford University before we arrive in Royal Windsor, to visit the world's largest inhabited castle.

 

Day 12

London   Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour as our local guide introduces the many faces of London, finishing off with the pageantry of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.

Day 13

London   We drive this morning to King Henry VIII's magnificent Hampton Court Palace. During your visit you will also have time to explore the beautiful gardens featuring the famous maze.

 

This afternoon we return to London for a visit inside the Tower of London, home to the glittering crown jewels.

 

Day 14 Return to the USA.
