Day 1 |
Departure from the USA bound for
England! |

Day 2 |
London
We are met by our European Institute Tour Director and
accompanied to our centrally located hotel, before we
begin exploring this incredible city.

Day 3 |
London
Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour as our local guide
introduces the many faces of London, finishing with the
Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.
|
|
Day 4 |
London
This morning we may choose to stay in London or opt to
visit one of Europe's most ancient edifices,
Stonehenge, before continuing to magnificent
Salisbury Cathedral.
Our sightseeing of England's most well preserved
Georgian city, Bath, includes a visit to the
ancient Roman Baths and sumptuous Pump Rooms.

Day 5 |
Paris This morning we board
Europe's newest train, the Eurostar, to Paris.
This afternoon our local guide introduces us to Paris,
finishing with a visit to one of Europe's most beautiful
cathedrals, Notre Dame.

Day 6 |
Paris Our day commences with a visit to Louis XIV's
Versailles. Our tour takes us through the 250 foot
long hall of mirrors and the royal apartments to the
magnificent gardens and Marie Antoinette's Petit
Hameau.
After lunch a
visit is included to the Louvre Museum.
This evening
a romantic Seine river cruise is included.

Day 7 |
Paris
Today we can either choose to explore Paris further or
join our excursion to the Loire Valley. First we
stop to visit Chartres Cathedral (Malcolm
Miller tour when available).
The Loire Valley
is justly famed for its incredible chateaux and today we
will visit three of the most impressive, Amboise,
Chenonceau and Azay-le-Rideau.
This evening
we take you to the top of the Eiffel Tower for a
'bird's eye view' of the city!

Day 8 |
Lucerne
Board our TGV
(Train à Grande Vitesse) to Switzerland.

Day 9 |
Lucerne
Sightseeing of Lucerne
includes the Lion Monument, the mural-decorated
wooden bridge and Weinmarkt Square.
This afternoon opt to
join our excursion to Mount Pilatus for
breathtaking views across the Alps.

Day 10 |
Munich
On our way
through the wonderful Alpine scenery we stop to visit
King Ludwig's magnificent castle of
Neuschwanstein (inspiration for the Disney castle).
|
|
Day 11 |
Munich
Sightseeing
with our local guide includes views the Olympic
Stadium, Frauenkirche and the famous
Glockenspiel in the Marienplatz town hall
square.
This afternoon we visit
moving Dachau.

Day 12 |
Munich
We journey
this morning to Salzburg. Our walking tour
includes visits to Mozart's Birthplace and St.
Peter's Cathedral. We then visit one of the local
salt mines and ride through the tunnels on railroad
tracks!

Day 13 |
Heidelberg
Today we journey to
admire the magnificent Rhine Falls at
Schaffhausen before continuing through the Black
Forest to Heidelberg.

Day 14 |
Return to the USA. |
