Departure from the USA bound for
France!

Day 2 |
Paris
We are met by
our European Institute Tour Director and accompanied to
our centrally located hotel, before we begin exploring
this incredible city.

Day 3 |
Paris
Today our local guide introduces us to Napoleon's grand
Arc de Triomphe, the famous Champs Elysées,
Place de la Concorde steeped in France's
turbulent history, magnificent Place Vendome and
finish our tour with a visit to one of Europe's most
beautiful cathedrals, Notre Dame.
After lunch a
visit is included to the Louvre Museum. This
evening we take we to top of the Eiffel Tower for
a 'bird's eye view' of the city!

Day 4 |
Paris
Today you will visit Louis XIV's Versailles. Your
tour takes you through the 250 foot long hall of mirrors
and the royal apartments to the magnificent gardens and
Marie Antoinette's Petit Hameau.

Day 5 |
Provence Enjoy
the beautiful countryside as you travel through France's
heartland aboard the high speed Train à Grande
Vitesse (TGV) to beautiful Provence.
Lunch will be at the
walled city of Avignon, where we will visit the
Palace of the Popes.

Day 6 |
Nice
Provence was so named once the Roman's had completed the
invasion of this 'Province'. You will be visiting
the Roman city of Nimes featuring its great
amphitheatre, gardens and the Maison Carée
(square house). On to the largest free standing Roman
aqueduct in Europe, the Pont du Gard for lunch.
Continue to the lively resort of Nice.

Day 7 |
Nice
Your panoramic tour includes the bustling Promenade
des Anglais and the ornate Russian Orthodox
Church.
Later this morning you travel the spectacular coastline
route to the principality of Monaco, one of the
smallest countries in Europe.
You will also take a trip to the highest cliff-top
village in France, Eze.

Day 8 |
Nice
This
morning's visit takes you to the artists haven of
St.Paul de Vence where the cobbled streets are lined
with painters workshops.
You will also visit the
Maeght Foundation, a marvellous collection of
modern art, and the serene Chapelle Matisse,
designed by the master himself.

Return to the USA. |
