Day 1 |
Departure from the USA bound for
France!

Day 2 |
Paris
We are met by
our European Institute Tour Director and accompanied to
our centrally located hotel, before we begin exploring
this incredible city.

Day 3 |
Paris
Today our local guide introduces us to Napoleon's grand
Arc de Triomphe, the famous Champs Elys้es,
Place de la Concorde steeped in France's
turbulent history, magnificent Place Vendome and
finish our tour with a visit to one of Europe's most
beautiful cathedrals, Notre Dame.
After lunch a
visit is included to the Louvre Museum.
This evening
a romantic Seine river cruise is included.

Day 4 |
Paris
Our day commences with a visit to a palace that truly
illustrates the wealth of pre-revolutionary France,
Louis XIV's Versailles. Our tour takes us through
the 250 foot long hall of mirrors and the royal
apartments to the magnificent gardens and Marie
Antoinette's Petit Hameau.

Day 5 |
Paris On
our journey to the Loire Valley we first stop to
visit Chartres Cathedral where Pilgrims have been
journeying for eight centuries to gaze in wonder at the
magnificent gothic architecture and
stained glass windows (Malcolm Miller tour when
available).
The Loire
Valley is justly famed for its incredible chateaux
and today we will visit three of the most impressive.
The town of Amboise sits on the bank of the river
Loire and is dominated by the medieval castle.
Chenonceau, is the most charming of the chateaux. We
also include the moated Azay-le-Rideau.

Day 6 |
Paris
Today is an opportunity for personal exploration of the
city or simply sit at a caf้ and people watch!
|

Day 7 |
Paris
Journey today to visit the home of impressionism,
Monet's Giverny. Stroll through the pretty garden
that served as an inspiration for the artist and then
around the house, still decorated in the vibrant colours
which he loved (for trips prior to April 1st the
Musee d'Orsay will be substituted).

Day 8 |
Paris
This morning
our Tour Director will lead we on a walking tour of
Paris' wonderful Marais quarter.
Dinner this
evening is on no less than the first floor of the
Eiffel Tower. Following dinner our tickets will take
we up to the top for a 'bird's eye view' of the city!
The perfect
way to say 'au revoir Paris'!
