Departure from the USA bound for France!

Day 2

Paris  We are met by our European Institute Tour Director and accompanied to our centrally located hotel, before we begin to explore this incredible city.

Days 3-8

Paris Paris, steeped in history and packed full of world famous landmarks, is judged by many to be the most beautiful and romantic city in the world. Our Paris at leisure tour is by far the best way to see the French capital at your own pace.

Some sights that are sure to be on our itinerary are:

Notre Dame   This Gothic masterpiece was built between the twelfth and fourteenth centuries spanning 170 years and stands on the site of a Roman temple. The Portal of the Virgin, the South and West Rose Windows, the treasury, the flying buttresses, the spire, the paintings, and the gargoyles make this cathedral an architectural wonder.

Les Invalides Louis XIV, the Sun King, originally built this place as a hospital for the wounded and homeless veterans. It remains today as not only a hospital for veterans, but also as a museum of military history from the Stone Age to World War II. In the crypt, Napoleon is buried as he wished to "rest on the banks of the Seine".

From here to the Eiffel Tower for a bird's eye view of Paris or a boat ride along the Seine, a trip to the Louvre or up the steps of romantic Montmartre, the choice of activities facing the visitor is almost overwhelming - all the more reason to enjoy Paris at our leisure!
