Day 1 |
Departure from the USA bound for
Italy! |

Day 2 |
Venice
We are met by our European Institute Tour Director and
accompanied to our centrally located hotel, before we
begin exploring this incredible city.

Day 3 |
Venice
This morning we have an in depth walking tour of the
city with our local guide, where we visit the
Basilica of Saint Mark, the Doges Palace,
cross through the inside of the Bridge of Sighs
and down into the prison from where Casanova made
his daring escape.

Day 4 |
Florence Area
Today we head
south via the imposing city of Padova and the
tomb of Saint Anthony. We continue to the city of
Ravenna to visit the mosaics at the Church of
San Vitale.
After lunch
we arrive in Pisa to see the remarkable leaning
tower recently opened to the public.

Day 5 |
Florence Area
This morning we have an in depth city tour with our
local guide where we visit the Accademia museum,
the Duomo, the Signoria Square and the
Santa Croce church.
After a Florentine
leatherwork demonstration there is the opportunity to
take an optional tour either to Siena or
remarkable San Giminiano.

Day 6 |
Pompeii Area Today our
voyage takes us down the country to the flourishing city
of Naples where we visit the Archaeological
Museum.

Day 7 |
Pompeii Area Today we build
on what we learnt at the Archaeological Museum
when we visit the ancient city of Pompeii with
our local guide.
Then, off across the bay
of Naples to the beautiful island of Capri.
Here you have the opportunity to visit the Blue
Grotto (weather permitting).
We also visit Capri
town and beautiful AnaCapri.

Day 8 |
Rome
Today to the
capital! After checking in at our hotel we visit the
Basilica of Saint Peter, the Vatican Museums
and the Sistine Chapel with our local guide.
This evening our tour
director takes us on a Walking Tour to see the
Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the
Pantheon.

Day 9 |
Rome
This morning
we learn about the incredible Roman Empire. On
our walking tour we see the Coliseum, the
Roman Forum, the unique Trajan market, the
Pantheon and the remarkable Column of Marcus
Aurelius.
This afternoon is free
to shop for those last minute gifts and souvenirs. This
evening we have our farewell dinner in an Opera
restaurant where not only do we have a fabulous meal but
also are serenaded by professional opera singers, the
perfect way to end our Viaggio Italiano!
