Day 1 |
Departure from the USA bound for
Italy! |

Day 2 |
Florence
Arrival in
Rome where we are met by our European Institute Tour
Director and transferred to Florence. Time to
enjoy a stroll through our home for the next few days.

Day 3 |
Florence
This morning we discover the cradle of the Renaissance,
Florence. With our local guide we learn about the
philosophy behind Michelangelo's David at the
Accademia Museum and also see the Duomo,
Signoria Square and Santa Croce.
Time this afternoon to explore the treasures of the
Uffizi Museum, walk the gardens of the Pitti
Palace or shop for bargains in the leather stores!

Day 4 |
Florence
Siena is the first stop on our itinerary this morning
where we see the famous Palio Square,
Piazza del Campo and the magnificent cathedral.
Next stop is San Gimignano, considered by
many to be the most beautiful town in Tuscany.
Our last stop of the day is Pisa and the
Square of Miracles. Here we see the Leaning Tower,
which was recently opened to the public.

Day 5 |
Florence You may choose to
explore Florence further, or join us on a high-speed
train excursion to Venice. Here we see the
Saint Mark's Basilica, and visit the Doge's
Palace.
Perhaps take a gondola ride before returning to
Florence?

Day 6 |
Florence This morning we
visit the wonderfully restored Basilica of Saint
Francis with its awe-inspiring frescoes by Giotto.
We then continue south to the eternal city, Rome.

|
Day 7 |
Rome This morning we have
an in depth city sightseeing tour with our local guide,
including entrances to the Vatican Museums, the
Sistine Chapel and the Coliseum. We also
visit Saint Peter's Basilica and the Pantheon.
This evening our tour director takes us on a Walking
Tour to see the Spanish Steps,
Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon.

Day 8 |
Rome Today you may choose
to join us on a memorable trip to Pompeii and the
Isle of Dreams, Capri. Or you may wish to
stay and explore Rome's mysteries further.
Our farewell dinner is at a restaurant where we
eat like kings and queens but also experience the power
of Italian Opera. Professional opera singers sing
many famous songs and arias to us.
The perfect way to end our European Institute Vacation.
