Departure from the USA bound for England!

Day 2

London   We are met by our European Institute Tour Director and accompanied to our centrally located hotel, before we begin exploring this incredible city.
 

London   Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour as our local guide introduces the many faces of London. We will see magnificent Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey and finishing with the pageantry of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace (in season).

Paris  This morning we board Europe's newest train, the incredible Eurostar, to Paris.

This evening we take we to top of the Eiffel Tower for a 'bird's eye view' of the city!

Paris   Our day commences with a visit to Louis XIV's Versailles. Our tour takes us through the 250 foot long hall of mirrors and the royal apartments to the magnificent gardens and Marie Antoinette's Petit Hameau.

This evening a romantic Seine river cruise is included.

Train  This morning a visit is included to the Louvre Museum. A Mecca for art lovers, the renowned collection includes Da Vinci's masterpiece the Mona Lisa.

Board our overnight train for the heart of Tuscany and Florence.

Florence Area   Our morning sightseeing of Florence shows us Michelangelo's "David", Brunelleschi's masterpiece, The Duomo, the Piazza della Signoria, and the Church of Santa Croce.

Rome   We pass by picturesque hilltop towns as we make our way through Umbria to Assisi. Here we visit the Basilica and see the stunning Giotto frescoes that illustrate the life of St. Francis.

Rome   Our local guide proudly shows us the Colosseum, the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museum, and St Peter’s - mother church of the Catholic faith.

Later our Tour Director leads us on a Walking Tour to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon.
