Departure from the USA bound for
France! |

Day 2 |
Paris
We are met by
our European Institute Tour Director and accompanied to
our centrally located hotel, before we begin exploring
this incredible city.

Day 3 |
Paris
Today on our city sightseeing tour, our local guide
shows us Napoleon's grand Arc de Triomphe , the
famous Champs Elysιes, Place de la Concorde,
the magnificent Place Vendome and we visit one of
Europe's most beautiful athedrals, Notre Dame.
After lunch a
visit is included to the Louvre Museum to see
Da Vinci's masterpiece the Mona Lisa.
This evening
we take you to top of the Eiffel Tower for a
'bird's eye view' of the city!

Day 4 |
Paris
Your day commences with a visit to a palace that truly
illustrates the wealth of pre-revolutionary France,
Louis XIV's Versailles. Your tour takes you
through the 250 foot long hall of mirrors and the royal
apartments to the magnificent gardens and Marie
Antoinette's Petit Hameau.

Day 5 |
Train Today you will have the
option to explore this city further or join our
excursion to the Loire Valley. Our first stop is
at Chartres Cathedral where Pilgrims have been
journeying for eight centuries to gaze in wonder at the
magnificent gothic architecture and stained glass
windows. (Malcolm Miller tour when available).
The Loire Valley
is justly famed for its incredible chateaux and today
you will visit two of the most impressive. Amboise
and Chenonceau.
Board our overnight
train for the magnificent capital of Spain, Madrid.

Day 6 |
Madrid Our
local guide introduces us to her Madrid. We drive
along the noble wide avenues to see the Palacio Real,
Puerto del Sol, and we finish with a visit to the
Prado museum where we can admire the works of
Goya, El Greco and Velasquez.
After lunch, we are moved by Picasso's Guernica
at the Reina Sofia Museum.

Day 7 |
Madrid This morning we
visit El Greco's Toledo. Our local guide shows us
the Cathedral and the Church of Santo Tome
and leaves us free time to explore the quaint medieval
Old Town.
Lunch is included rather than dinner before our return
to Madrid.

Day 8 |
Madrid Today
you can choose to either explore Madrid further or join
our excursion to Segovia and El
Escorial. Our first stop today is to view Segovia's
impressive Alcazar and the 2,000-year-old
Roman aqueduct.
Then, to the royal city
of El Escorial to visit the 16th-century
monastery-palace. Finally the moving Valley of
the Fallen, a tribute to those who died during the
rule of Franco.
