Departure from the USA bound for France!

Day 2

Paris   We are met by our European Institute Tour Director and accompanied to our centrally located hotel, before we begin exploring this incredible city.
 

Paris   Our local guide introduces us to Napoleon’s grand Arc de Triomphe the famous Champs Elysées, Place de la Concorde, magnificent Place Vendôme and finishes our tour with a visit to one of Europe’s most beautiful Cathedrals, Notre Dame.

After lunch a visit is included to the Louvre Museum.

This evening we ascend to the top of the Eiffel Tower for a 'bird's eye view' of the city!

Nice   Board Europe’s fastest train, the TGV, and enjoy the countryside as we travel to the blue waters of the Côte d’Azur and the lively resort of Nice.

Learn about Nice’s Italian heritage this evening as our Tour Director leads us around the old town.

Nice   This morning we travel the spectacular coastline route to the principality of Monaco, one of the smallest countries in Europe. We will also take a trip to the highest cliff-top village in France, Eze.
 

Florence Area   We pass by picturesque scenery as we make our way down through the heart of Tuscany and Florence. En route we stop to see the famous Leaning Tower at Pisa.
 

Florence Area   Our morning sightseeing of Florence shows us Michelangelo’s "David", Brunelleschi’s masterpiece, the Duomo, the Piazza della Signoria, and the Church of Santa Croce.

Rome   We pass by picturesque hilltop towns as we make our way through Umbria to Assisi. Here we visit the Basilica and see the stunning Giotto frescoes that illustrate the life of St. Francis.

Or alternatively choose to visit the beautiful Tuscan town of Siena, if we enroll 30 participants or more.

Later our Tour Director leads us on a Walking Tour to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon.
